Equipment
Gears and Equipment are items in V Rising that can be equipped and crafted by the player. Such examples of the equipment present in V Rising are Weapons, Armor, Headgear, Cloaks, and Jewelry.

Weapons
Weapons are equipped in a hotbar slot and are used to deal damage in combat and/or against resources. Each weapon type has unique properties that affect how it can be utilized.
Weapon Types
There are currently 7 weapon types in the game. Each type has up to 3 weapon abilities (one basic primary + two advanced) available depending on the level of the weapon.
Melee
Melee weapons are primarily used to attack targets directly next to the player.
- Swords – An all-round weapon that deals slash damage and has a greater effect on vegetation and thickets.
- Axes – Dual-wield axes that deal chop damage and have a greater effect on wood.
- Maces – A heavy weapon that deals blunt damage that has a greater effect on minerals & rocks.
- Spears – A spear with a long-ranged attack and deals thrust damage that has a greater effect on creatures.
- Reapers – A two-handed weapon that deals slash damage and has a greater effect on Undead.
- Slashers – Dual-wield blades that deal slash damage and have a greater effect on vegetation and thickets.
Ranged
Ranged weapons are used to attack from a distance, they do not require ammunition. However before firing they do take short amount of time to load.
- Crossbows – A ranged weapon that fires bolts.
Weapon Levels
There are currently 8 sets of weapons, divided into 4 tiers based on the primary material needed (Bone, Copper Ingots, Iron Ingots, Dark Silver Ingots). Except for Bone sets, each material has a basic set that requires no research and an upgraded set that requires research from their respective Research station.
Bone Sets (Tier 1)
Bone
The starter tier of weapons and armor. They have a Gear Score of 3 and provide +5.2 Physical Power. They can be crafted in your inventory.
Reinforced Bone
An upgraded version of Bone. They have a Gear Score of 6 and provide +6.8 Physical Power. They can be crafted in a Simple Workbench.
Copper Sets (Tier 2)
Copper
The first tier requiring a smelter, though still an early-game tier. They have a Gear Score of 9 and provide +8.9 Physical Power. They can be crafted in a Simple Workbench.
Merciless Copper
For an upgraded version of Copper, you must first find and unlock the recipes through the Research Desk and create them by upgrading Copper Weapons. They have a Gear Score of 12 and provide +11.5 Physical Power. They can be crafted in a Simple Workbench.
Iron Sets (Tier 3)
Iron requires the player to defeat Quincey.
Iron
A mid-game tier. They have a Gear Score of 15 and provide +14.7 Physical Power. They can be smelted in a Smithy.
Merciless Iron
For an upgraded version of Iron, you must first find and unlock their recipes through the Study and create them by upgrading Iron Weapons. They have a Gear Score of 18 and provide +18.5 Physical Power. They can be smelted in a Smithy.
Dark Silver Sets (Tier 4)
Dark Silver requires the player to defeat Octavian.
Dark Silver
A late-game tier. They have a Gear Score of 21 and provide +22.9 Physical Power. They can be forged on an Anvil.
Sanguine
Currently the strongest weapons in the game. Players must first find and unlock their recipes through the Athenaeum and create them through upgrading Dark Silver weapons. They have a Gear Score of 24 and provide +27.9 Physical Power. They can be forged on an Anvil.

Armor
Armor describes items worn to increase your survivability. This is primarily achieved through increasing health but can also be resistance to status effects.
Armor Types
There are currently 5 armor types. The 4 primary pieces always provide bonus health, and armor pieces of the same set can grant various set bonuses when worn in unison.

Armor Tiers
There are currently 8 sets of armor, divided into four tiers. Each set increases the gear score and health. Each set above Bone Tier has the upgraded set provide a set bonus based on how many pieces of the set you have equipped.
Bone Tier
Boneguard
The starter tier of weapons and armor. They have a Gear Score of 1 and can be crafted in your inventory.
Plated Boneguard
An upgraded version of Boneguard. They have a Gear Score of 2 and can be crafted in the Simple Workbench.
Nightstalker Tier
Nightstalker
The first tier requiring refined materials. They have a Gear Score of 3 and can be crafted in the Simple Workbench.
Merciless Nightstalker
An upgraded version of Nightstalker, you must first find and unlock the Recipes by using the Research Desk. They have a Gear Score of 4 and can be crafted in the Simple Workbench by upgrading Nightstalker Armor pieces.
Hollowfang Tier
Requires the Player to defeat Quincey.
Hollowfang
A mid game tier. They have a Gear Score of 5 and can be crafted in the Tailoring Bench.
Merciless Hollowfang
An upgraded version of Hollowfang, you must first find and unlock the Recipes by using the Study. They have a Gear Score of 6 and can be crafted in the Tailoring Bench by upgrading Hollowfang armor pieces.
Dawnthorn Tier
Requires the player to defeat Octavian.
Dawnthorn
A late-game tiers. They have a Gear Score of 7 and can be crafted in the Tailoring Bench.
Bloodmoon
Currently the strongest armor in the game. Players must first find and unlock the Recipes by using the Athenaeum. They have a Gear Score of 8 and can be crafted in the Tailoring Bench by upgrading Dawnthorn armor pieces.

Cloaks
Description
Cloaks are Blood-Bound items that fit into the Cloak equipment slot. Only one cloak may be equipped at one time. Only Vampires can use cloaks, servants cannot.
Cloaks do not have durability.
Cloaks do not add Gear level.
They are divided into 3 tiers (Tier 1 being the lowest and Tier 3 being the highest) and each cloak from a tier has the same effects, just different visuals.
